Jimmy Binns Jr. is a Mixed Martial Arts Manager/Promoter based out of Philadelphia, PA. With years of experience as a promoter in the world of professional boxing, Jimmy saw the future of combat sports and transitioned into MMA creating his own show, Matrix Fights, with brothers Phil and Ricardo Migliarese. As Matrix Fights ascended the regional fight circuit, Jimmy acted on the void in MMA management and formed Binns Management — to ensure MMA fighters have the opportunity to work with a qualified, caring representative who will look out for their best interests.
Under Binns Management Jimmy guides and advises up-and-coming and established fighters alike to take smart fights at the right time in their career without concern for his own financial gain or loss.
Having grown up in the “fight game” — Jimmy’s father, Jimmy Binns Sr., was the Pennsylvania Boxing Commissioner under Governors Richard Thornberg and Bob Casey, and legal representative for the World Boxing Association from the mid-1980’s through early 2000 — Jimmy has essentially earned an Ivy League degree in fighter management. He has made connections with and learned lessons from the greatest names in combat sports, including Don King, Lou DiBella, Emmanuel Stewert, Gilberto Mendoza, Jose Suliman and Bjorn Rebney.
After witnessing countless cases of unscrupulous managers taking advantage of and misrepresenting unknowing fighters Jimmy believed that with his integrity, knowledge, negotiation skills and invaluable connections to the biggest fight promotions in MMA (including Bellator Fighting Championships and Ultimate Fighting Championship), he would provide fighters the best representation in the industry.
Jimmy travels the national and regional circuit searching for fighters as a Promoter and Manager. His mission is longterm development of individuals with an endless drive to train and succeed and guiding them through the process of becoming a successful prize fighter, including the safest and most proven means of training. Fighters under Binns Management include: Tim Carpenter, Sam Oropeza, Kyle Cerminara, Marc Stevens, Sidney Outlaw, Jesus Martinez, Will Martinez, Anthony “Cheesesteak” Morrison, Mike Mucitelli and Juan Vasquez.
Jimmy is also the CEO of one of the top MMA clothing brands on the East Coast, 215MMA and 215BJJ. 215MMA, based out of Philadelphia, launches their online store in May of 2014 selling t-shirts, hats and hoodie sweatshirts.
